It seems like ages ago when S.N.O.G.S. held its last event. With the course at Richmond Park suffering serious damage following heavy storms, we moved the event to Royal Norwich at very short notice. Thankfully, they accommodated us very well and an enjoyable day was had by all. Many congratulations to Hal Riley who was the winner of the Captains Cup with an impressive 39 points.
It’s now time to book your places for our final event of the year and we look forward to our first visit for a long time to Eaton Golf Club. The points from the morning 18 holes individual stableford will count towards the Player of the Year competition and there will be an 18 hole team scramble in the afternoon. We hope that there will be a great turn out for this event and please feel free to bring any guests who may want to come along.
Last year, it was Andy Wan who walked away with the Player of the Year Trophy but, with only your best 2 scores from the 3 events counting, almost everyone has a chance going into the final round. Updated scores from the first 2 events – and any handicap changes – will be circulated in the next week or so.
The price for the day will be just £50.00 per person (£45 if you have £5 in the kitty from Richmond Park/Royal Norwich) – discounted to £25.00 for any Eaton GC members – including both midday and evening meals. There will be an addition charge of just £5.00 for any S.N.O.G.S. members playing for the first time in 2016 or for any guests on the day.
Please advise if you any vegetarian or special dietary requirements so arrangements can be made. In the case of cancellation, a full two days notice has to be given to the Golf Club to avoid paying for meals that are ordered but not required.
Coffee will be available upon arrival and there should be an opportunity to pre-book a breakfast; the choice and cost of this is still to be confirmed and we will let you have this information as soon as possible. If anyone wants to sponsor the day or pay towards the prize table, please contact Andrew Gooch to discuss options.
There is a maximum of 40 places, playing in 4 balls, available so don’t delay. Please fully complete the section below for yourself, and any playing partners, confirming by email that the appropriate funds have been transferred to the S.N.O.G.S. Bank Account, details of which are available upon request.
Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you at Eaton Golf Club on 23rd September – please forward this email to anyone I may have missed off the distribution list.
