GARY DYE MEMORIAL TROPHY – BAWBURGH GOLF CLUB – Friday, 6th May 2016

The first S.N.O.G.S. event of 2016 will be held at Bawburgh GC where golfers will be competing for the Gary Dye Memorial Trophy during the morning 18 holes individual stableford and then, in the afternoon, in an 18 hole team texas scramble. This event was won by John Gould in 2015 with a fabulous score of 44 points. The 2015 Player of the Year Trophy was won by Andy Wan and, this year, your best 2 stableford scores from the 3 events will be counted.

The price for the day is £50.00 per person – discounted to £25.00 for Bawburgh GC members – including both midday and evening meals; the price cannot be reduced if you are unable to stay for the evening meal. Please specify whether any vegetarian or special dietary requirements so arrangements can be made. In the case of cancellation, a full two days notice has to be given to the Golf Club to avoid paying for meals that are ordered but not required.

Coffee will be available upon arrival and there will be an opportunity to pre-book a Bacon Roll or English Breakfast; the cost of these is to be confirmed but likely to be around £3.50 for the bacon roll or £6.50 for the breakfast – payment for thses will be required on the day.

As this is the first event of the year, we will also require the £5.00 annual membership fee to be included in your payment to us. As previously advised, this will help with additional costs the society has to meet and increase the funds available for prizes. On the subject of prizes, if anyone wants to sponsor the day and pay toward the prize table, please contact Andrew Gooch to discuss options.

There is a maximum of 40 places, playing in 4 balls, available at Bawburgh GC so don’t delay. Please contact us giving details for yourself, and any playing partners, confirming by email that the appropriate funds have been transferred to the S.N.O.G.S. Bank Account, details of which are contained on the invite email.

Please note that information, including dates of future competitions, can be found here on our website – www.snogsgolf.co.uk – but, as a reminder, we will be at Richmond Park GC on 1st July and Eaton GC on 23rd September. Also, further details will follow regarding our 40th Anniversary Shirts and the proposed Away Day at the end of the season.

Thanks and look forward to seeing you at Bawburgh – please forward this to anyone I may have missed off the distribution list.
